Dr. Nicole Byrne

Associate Medical Director

Dr. Nicole Byrne is a compassionate and forward-thinking physician with a strong foundation in both academic excellence and clinical expertise. She earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Princeton University, followed by completing her internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai in New York City. With over 10 years in clinical practice, her career path has included educating medical students and residents while serving as a teaching hospitalist at Northwestern University in Chicago and as a clinical hospitalist at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.

Dr. Byrne brings a holistic perspective to healthcare. She has long envisioned delivering a different type of medical care, moving away from a reactive "sick care" model into one centered on proactive, personalized, and whole-patient wellness.   She is deeply committed to promoting health through lifestyle choices, with a particular focus on diet and exercise, which she models in her personal life.  She enjoys cooking creative, nutritious meals and hopes to inspire others by incorporating these principles into her practice. An active runner, she has completed several races, including two marathons, reflecting her belief in the importance of staying active.  She is passionate about integrating lifestyle modifications into her clinical approach while addressing patients as complete individuals rather than focusing solely on isolated diseases or conditions.

Dr. Byrne is thrilled to bring her expertise and enthusiasm to her new role at Optispan, where she is eager to contribute to transforming healthcare.
